The City Hospice Charity Raft Race returns this year on Sunday 11th June
Proudly sponsored by Dario Security Co Ltd
We are delighted to announce that the City Hospice Charity Raft Race is back for 2023. Formerly known as the Llandaff Charity Raft Race, this event involves building your own raft, racing from Llandaff Rowing Club upstream for over half a mile, and then rowing back to the clubhouse for the finishing line.
It is £75 to enter a team of between four and ten rowers and we ask all teams to raise a minimum of £400 sponsorship to help City Hospice care for patients and their families who are suffering from a life-limiting illness.
If you would like to enter a team, email Nicky Piper on nicky.piper@cityhospice.org.uk
Team trophies for the first three rafts and a trophy for the best-designed raft/team
This race is marshalled by Cardiff Aid Voluntary Rescue Association.

This river Taff course is mostly only about 3ft deep (one small area is about 7ft deep) however, all participants have to wear a life jacket.
Parking on the day will be available at Glantaf High School which is just a five minute walk across the road, our volunteers will be there to guide you.
Here is a video of the City Hospice Raft Race from 2011. Although the sun was shining, it had been raining for days leading up to the event and the river was flowing very fast. However, everybody still had loads of fun.
