Why should I take part?
City Hospice is a registered charity at the heart of Cardiff providing end of life care to patients and support to their families. We help people with illnesses such as dementia, cancer, Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). We provide specialist palliative care to these people in their own homes as well as offering counselling (adults and children), welfare benefits advice and day centres with a range of activities.
By signing up for this trek, you’ll be helping to make sure that people living with a life-limiting illness in Cardiff can receive the care and support they need to live life to the full.
What will I see on the trek?
Our charity challenge starts in Dharamsala, where the Dalai Lama and Tibetan Community are located, among the world’s highest mountains.
Your five-day trek will incorporate the beautiful sights and sounds of the Indian region and will let you take in the culture surrounding you. We’ll pass through the Kingdom of Gaddi and experience the spectacular views of the Daula Dhar Mountain Range, all while raising money for our patients and their families.
To end this fantastic trip, you’ll get to spend time free time in Dharamsala and go on to visit one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal.
