Gareth Morgan In August 2002, my partner Kim Morgan was diagnosed with Skin Cancer and had her lymph nodes removed to try and stop the spread of the disease. Unfortunately, the cancer had spread to her liver and she required several bouts of chemo. By Christmas, it was clear that the chemo had not worked and so we decided that we would get married so that we could spend our last days together as husband and wife. On a crisp, cold and beautiful day in January 2003, we were married at Caldicot Castle. I was then blessed with three more months together before Kim passed away in April. The City Hospice were amazing in her last few months providing us with support and palliative care right up to the very end. Without them we would have been lost and alone fighting this disease. Therefore, I want to give something back and in July 2018 I will be riding in the Cardiff Velothon which is a 140km bike ride to raise as much money as I can for this amazing organisation.
