Dedicate a Daisy and remember a loved one this summer

City Hospice Forever Flowers provides an opportunity for our community to celebrate and remember the lives of lost ones.

We invite you to be a part of City Hospice Forever Flowers to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones at one of Cardiff’s most iconic locations, Cardiff Castle.

Our award-winning campaign has been inspired by the ongoing challenges around bereavement, and our wish to support people with their grief. This year we have chosen a daisy which for many symbolizes love, hope and new dawns.

A stunning display within the grounds of Cardiff Castle

Hundreds of beautiful metal daisies will feature in a stunning display within the grounds of Cardiff Castle from 05th August – 13th August 2023. Your limited edition daisy will be a part of this special display in memory of someone you love. During the final two days of the display, you will be welcome to take away your flower and place it in a space that is special to you.

Add a special touch to your Forever Flower

We are delighted to welcome back our partnership with Timpson in which you can have the opportunity to have your Forever Flower engraved following the display at a significantly reduced cost. Following the event you can take your Daisy to participating Timpson stores (see FAQs below) and have it engraved.

Already bought a flower but now want to add engraving?

Forever Flowers is for everyone, not just those who were cared for by City Hospice. It provides the opportunity for people to talk about their grief, reflect, remember a loved one and celebrate life with a lasting tribute.

FAQs

When will the flowers be on display in Cardiff Castle?

The Forever Flowers display at Cardiff Castle will take place from 05th August  to 13th August.

How much is a flower?

Our Forever Flowers cost £25 per flower.

Is there a limit to how many flowers I can buy?

No, you can purchase as many flowers as you wish (subject to availability).

Can I make an additional donation?

Yes, you are welcome to make an additional donation, supporting the lives of the people we care for at the time when it’s needed the most.

When can I visit the display at Cardiff Castle?

You can visit the display at Cardiff Castle from 05th – 13th August 2023. The opening times are Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday – Sunday 10am – 5pm.

What Timpson stores are participating in the engraving offer?

Following the display you can take your Forever Flower(s) to Timpson, St Mary Street Cardiff, Timpson Tesco Culver House Cross (Car Park), Cardiff or Timpson Asda Coryton, Cardiff. When you opt to have engraving you will be sent confirmation to take to Timpson as proof of purchase.

How many characters can I have engraved?

You can choose up to 18 characters on a 39mm x 13mm size plate which can be attached to the back of the flower after display.

Is there a charge to enter Cardiff Castle grounds?

No, entry to the castle grounds is free of charge. There is a fee to enter the castle buildings.

Do you have directions to the Castle?

When will my flower be available to collect?

You can collect your Forever Flower from Cardiff Castle during the final weekend of the display – 12th and 13th August.

Can I collect my flower from the hospice?

The week following the display, you are welcome to call at Ty Hosbis, Whitchurch Hospital Grounds, Park Road, Whitchurch CF14 7BF to collect your Forever Flower. Dates for Ty Hosbis collection to be confirmed.

Can I get the flower delivered?

Yes, for an additional £6 we can post your Forever Flower to you after the display.
