Introduction to palliative care at City Hospice for patients diagnosed with dementia

We are holding an awareness day on Monday 24th February for patients and their carers/family who have recently been diagnosed with dementia. We understand what a difficult time this can be for people and have arranged this awareness day to help.

One of our palliative care consultants Dr James Davies will be speaking on the day along with:

  • Andrew Wade, Social Worker
  • Katie Tucker, Welfare Rights Officer
  • Alexandra James, Advanced care planning nurse

We will be looking at topics such as staying safe in your own home, financial advice and much more. They’ll also be an opportunity to arrange 1:1 sessions with members of our clinical team in addition to booking up to 6 free sessions of complimentary therapy.
