Carter Lauren Construction raises over £27,000 for City Hospice in epic 140-mile bike challenge
In September, Carter Lauren Construction Ltd organised an extraordinary 140-mile one-day bike ride from St David’s Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, to Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff, in support of City Hospice.
Staff and supporters took on the gruelling challenge, completing the journey in over 11 hours, and the fundraising total now stands at over an incredible £27,000.
This is the fourth large-scale fundraising event the construction company has held for City Hospice, reflecting their ongoing commitment to the charity and the community. All 28 riders completed the ride, demonstrating remarkable determination and team spirit.
Neil Carter, Managing Director of Carter Lauren Construction and City Hospice Ambassador, said:
“City Hospice is a charity that does such great work in support of the community. We are delighted to have raised such a large amount to help support patients and their families who are suffering from life-limiting illnesses.”
Nicky Piper, City Hospice Corporate Partnerships Manager, who also took part in the ride, added:
“That was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but the comradery between everybody that took part and the thought of all that had sponsored us kept us all going to the end.”
City Hospice would like to extend a huge thank you to Carter Lauren Construction, all 28 riders, and everyone who has shown their support by donating to this incredible fundraiser.
