City Hospice Light up a Life Remembrance Service takes place on Thursday 27th November

🚧 Important Travel Update
Llandaff High Street will be closed on Thursday, meaning there will be no access by car to the Cathedral via the High Street. The main Cathedral car park will also be closed from 6 pm–8 pm.

Alternative parking is available at Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Llandaff Campus (CF5 2YB) – £1 for 4 hours, Blue Badge holders park free. It’s around an 8-minute walk to the Cathedral. If you have any queries, contact us via fundraising@cityhospiceorg.uk or call 02920 524150.

Join City Hospice this November at Llandaff Cathedral for our annual Light up a Life Remembrance Service. This special evening offers time for reflection and remembrance as we honour the memory of loved ones during the Christmas season.

Guests are welcome to arrive from 7:00pm and the service will begin at 7:30pm for an evening of carols, reflective readings and performances. There will be an opportunity to hear your loved one’s names read out, if you wish, as we come together for this poignant service. The service will last around 1 hour.

Our Light up a Life Remembrance Service is FREE to attend for adults and children however you must register your place below. Please note spaces for this event are limited to book in advance to avoid disappointment. If you would like to contribute towards the event costs, we suggest a donation of £5 per adult, though this is entirely optional. This service is open to everyone, regardless of faith or belief.

Dedications for Light up a Life can be made all over the festive period as a meaningful way to remember someone special, to celebrate life or to give thanks. You can join hundreds of local people who leave a message and dedicate a virtual Star in the Sky to celebrate and remember the life of a friend, relative or colleague this Christmas.

We do hope you can join us and we look forward to seeing you.
