Now in its fifth year, City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign will return to Cardiff Castle this August.

The award-winning campaign provides an opportunity to celebrate and remember the lives of loved ones with a special and lasting tribute. The flowers will form part of a striking display within the grounds of Cardiff Castle, from Saturday 2 to Sunday 10 August. This year’s Forever Flower is the daffodil, Wales’ national flower. It symbolises hope, resilience and new beginnings.

Six local businesses are supporting the campaign: Cardiff Rugby, Eversheds Sutherland, Premier Forest Products, Keen Insurance, McLays, and Wales & West Housing.

Mike Brown, Head of Communications and Marketing at Cardiff Rugby, said: “We’re incredibly proud to support the campaign again for a fifth year. City Hospice helps patients live life to the fullest, with the utmost care, compassion and professionalism, touching the lives of so many families in Cardiff.

“Forever Flowers offers a meaningful way to cherish the lives of loved ones we have lost, and we’re excited to see the daffodils at Cardiff Castle this year.”

A global law firm with over 70 offices globally, Eversheds Sutherland is another business supporting the Forever Flowers campaign for a fifth time. With a longstanding presence in Cardiff, the firm offers advice in all aspects of business law, including corporate M&A, real estate, employment, and commercial litigation. Eversheds Sutherland values City Hospice’s work in the local community and sees the campaign as a meaningful way to honour loved ones in an iconic Welsh location.

Matthew Gough, Partner in Consumer, Commercial and Technology Law at Eversheds Sutherland, said: “We are delighted to yet again support City Hospice with its Forever Flowers campaign at Cardiff Castle. As City Hospice is our Eversheds Sutherland chosen charity for 2025, we are particularly pleased to be part of this campaign. We are hoping for another sunny day in August!”

Sponsoring the Forever Flowers initiative for a fourth year is Newport-based Premier Forest Products. One of the largest timber companies in the country, they specialise in the wholesale importation, distribution and manufacturing of timber products and timber based solutions to a diverse range of corporate and commercial customers from multiple sites across the UK.

Terry Edgell, CEO of Premier Forest and a business ambassador for City Hospice, said: “Forever Flowers provides a meaningful way to celebrate and remember the lives of loved ones we’ve lost, providing us with an opportunity to support each other during difficult times. We’re proud to support this year’s campaign once again and look forward to seeing the daffodils at Cardiff Castle in August.”

Keen Insurance, sponsoring the Forever Flowers campaign for the first time, are fully independent personal and commercial general insurance brokers and independent financial advisors. With over 45 years in business, they have supported City Hospice’s fundraising efforts for many years in recognition of the essential work and care they provide. Keen Insurance is proud to sponsor Forever Flowers, as a meaningful way to honour loved ones with a tangible, lasting tribute.

Marc Evans, BDM & Broker at Keen Insurance, said: “Forever Flowers is a fantastic campaign, and the fact that City Hospice is entirely funded through charitable donations has always struck a chord with us. We are proud to be on board as a sponsor, and to help raise funds for such a worthy cause.”

Cardiff based company McLays are also sponsoring Forever Flowers for the first time. With a history dating back around 200 years, the company and its MiPost brand provide a wide range of communication services including print, digital, online and postal solutions to a diverse range of customers. McLays’ expertise in mailing allows them to guide City Hospice in creating and sending mail packs in the most cost-effective way, while championing their amazing work as a local charity.

Lewis Stevens, Sales & Business Manager at McLays, added: “When we met with Nicky and he explained what the project involved, it was something we felt we could support, ensuring City Hospice had minimal outlay in delivering the project and as such allowing more funds to be used where they are most needed.”

Wales & West Housing, an organisation committed to making a difference to people’s lives, homes and communities, is the third new business supporting Forever Flowers for the first time. One of the leading housing providers in Wales, the organisation manages more than 12,400 high quality, affordable homes in 13 local authority areas across Wales. With almost 4,000 homes spread across the capital, the support City Hospice gives to families in their time of need will have touched the lives of its residents, their families and wider community. As a Platinum Pledge partner of City Hospice, Wales & West Housing are keen to help the charity make a positive impact through their work, care and campaigns like Forever Flowers.

Anne Hinchey, Group Chief Executive at Wales & West Housing, said: “We’re delighted to support City Hospice to provide the best quality of care for families in Cardiff. For decades it has provided vital specialist, home-based medical and nursing care to patients facing life-limiting illness. It focuses on supporting families in their time of need by providing welfare and financial advice, complementary therapies, counselling and bereavement support for families.

“We recognise how important it is for the charity to reach its fundraising targets so that it can continue to deliver its crucial, free services within our communities.”
