Catherine and Alex Smash Fundraising Target as They Prepare to Take on the Sahara Trek!
The countdown is on! With just weeks to go before they set off for Marrakech, mother and son duo Catherine and Alex have not only reached but smashed their initial fundraising target for City Hospice. Now, they’re pushing to raise an incredible £5,000 as they prepare for the challenge of a lifetime.
Their journey so far has been one of determination, dedication, and community spirit. Training hard in the rolling dunes of Merthyr Mawr, Catherine and Alex have been preparing their endurance for the tough terrain they will face in the Sahara Desert. Through their fundraising events, including a garden party, raffles, and DJ nights, they have received overwhelming support from friends, family, and the local community.
Their adventure begins on the 19th February, right in the heart of City Hospice’s ‘Love Your Hospice Month’ – a campaign celebrating the charity’s compassionate care and the lives it touches. Catherine and Alex are passionate about giving back after experiencing first-hand the difference City Hospice makes to families facing the most challenging times.
