Whitchurch High’s Tŷ Calon Pupils Gear Up for City Hospice’s Rudolph Run This December

Whitchurch High’s Tŷ Calon pupils are buzzing with excitement as they prepare to join City Hospice’s first Rudolph Run. This December, the pupils (and teachers!) will lace up their trainers, don reindeer antlers, and aim to raise as much money and awareness for City Hospice in a fun and festive way this December. Tŷ Calon were City Hospice’s first Rudolph Recruits for their Rudolph Run, where they choose the date, time, distance and whether they run, walk, dance or prance for this Christmas challenge. Supporting City Hospice’s Rudolph Run this year was a natural choice for Tŷ Calon, driven by a shared desire to give back.

Mr Marshall, Teacher at Whitchurch High, said:

“We’re always looking for ways to help our local community and with City Hospice being our chosen charity this year, the Rudolph Run seemed like the perfect way to raise both funds and awareness while getting the students active and engaged. The pupils and staff know the excellent work that City Hospice does.”

Katie Vaughan, Community Fundraiser, added:

“It was such a lovely opportunity to meet some of the pupils that will be taking part in our very first Rudolph Run. Their enthusiasm and excitement to get involved was infectious and I can’t wait to visit the school when they don their Rudolph Antlers in aid of City Hospice this December. Having the support of our local community is so important to not only raise vital funds, but to also raise awareness about the work we do here at City Hospice. We’re so grateful to Tŷ Calon for choosing to support City Hospice this Christmas and I hope this inspires other schools in Cardiff to get involved with our Rudolph Run!”
